Francine grew up in Portland and after many moves throughout the US and abroad has resettled back to what she considers to be one of the best places to live in the world. She worked at the National College of Natural Medicine for many years and has a deep rooted interest and respect for natural and alternative medicine. She studied English Literature at Portland State University and the University of Utah and in her spare time can usually be found in the garden or with her nose in a book.  She also enjoys knitting, hiking, cycling, camping, playing the drums, and exploring the Northwest (and any new city she can get herself to) with her husband and daughters.
